The Aesthetic Medicine Certificate Program, offered by the Academy for Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Studies (AFAAAS™) in academic partnership with the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies, is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic excellence, professionalism, and patient safety.
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must hold an active and unrestricted professional license and meet all admission requirements established by the program. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
Attendance Policy
Because of the intensive nature of the program, attendance at all scheduled lectures, workshops, and clinical training sessions is expected. Students must successfully complete all required coursework and competency assessments to receive the certificate of completion.
Academic Integrity
Students are expected to maintain the highest standards of honesty and professionalism. Plagiarism, cheating, falsification of records, or other forms of academic misconduct may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from the program.
Professional Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and comply with all applicable laws, ethical standards, and scope-of-practice requirements governing their profession.
Scope of Practice
Completion of this program does not expand an individual's legal scope of practice. Graduates are responsible for practicing within the laws and regulations applicable to their professional license and jurisdiction.
Clinical Training and Patient Safety
Hands-on training is conducted under faculty supervision. Students must adhere to infection prevention practices, patient privacy requirements, and established safety protocols at all times.
Photography and Confidentiality
Clinical photographs, patient information, and educational materials are confidential and may not be copied, recorded, or distributed without appropriate authorization.
Intellectual Property
All course materials, lectures, presentations, manuals, videos, and educational content are proprietary and protected by copyright laws. Reproduction, recording, distribution, or commercial use without written permission is prohibited.
Refund and Withdrawal Policy
Tuition deposits and fees are subject to the terms outlined in the Enrollment Agreement. Requests for withdrawal must be submitted in writing. Refund eligibility will be determined in accordance with the published refund schedule.
Program Changes
The program reserves the right to modify schedules, faculty assignments, curriculum, and instructional formats when necessary to maintain educational quality and comply with institutional requirements.
